Memorial Weekend Camping

For Memorial Weekend we decided to go to the camper. My parents have a 30ft that they keep at a private campground, through Paul's work. We also keep the boat up there, so we don't have to keep pulling it back and forth.

We ended up leaving a day early due to 4 children NOT listening and mommy being too tired to deal with it anymore and daddy being oblivious to everything going on around him!

I have always believe God works in mysterious ways. This past weekend was no exception. We had planned to stay until Monday, but given my children not being able to "listen" we left Sunday afternoon instead. When we were 30 min from home we had heard there was a Tornado watch in the area where we were camping. We had been at the camper before when a Tornado was on the lake, it was SO SCARY! We went to the bathroom/shelter area and actually saw the tornado turn and go the other direction. NEVER DO I WANT TO SEE SOMETHING LIKE THAT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though we were upset about having to leave a day early, we realize, God was watching out for our family, yet again!

Dominick's Preschool Celebration!

Dominick's preschool class had their Spring Celebration Concert this morning. The kids sang songs, received a certificate and enjoyed ice cream! Dominick did wonderful and was so proud, as are we of him!! He won't be attending the same school this fall, he will be attending our districts 4 yr old Kindergarten program. The district is offering this, free of charge AND will bus the children to and from school! Dominick is ESPECIALLY excited since he will get to ride the school bus with Brittany and Andrew.

Teacher said to put smiles on, arms down and chins up for pictures!

Dominick has been wanting to play soccer like his big sister and brother! We signed him up through the community rec. department. He had SO much fun and is looking forward to this next Saturday's practice. The class meets for 4 Saturdays for an hour, hopefully we can meet outside for the rest of the classes.

I got this from julia's blog

National Day Of Prayer
for the
Orphans of Guatemala

We have a responsibility as parents and believers to continue to go to God for those still in the adoption process and for the children that do not yet have families.
I ask each of you to join with me in an all day time of prayer. It does not matter where you are or what you are doing, you can pray however you chose to. Silently as you work, Loudly as you vacuum or softly as your rock your sweet Guatemalan gift.
I come to you with a serious drive to gather as many willing hearts as I can to join together to lift up the families still waiting to bring their babies home and to also lift ALL of the children in Guatemala trapped in this mess needing so desperately to be loved, held and HOME with a family!!!!

So - lets join together
THURSDAY
from now on,
the first Thursday in May will be:
National Day of Prayer
for the
Orphans of Guatemala
