Dominick has been wanting to play soccer like his big sister and brother! We signed him up through the community rec. department. He had SO much fun and is looking forward to this next Saturday's practice. The class meets for 4 Saturdays for an hour, hopefully we can meet outside for the rest of the classes.

I got this from julia's blog

National Day Of Prayer
for the
Orphans of Guatemala

We have a responsibility as parents and believers to continue to go to God for those still in the adoption process and for the children that do not yet have families.
I ask each of you to join with me in an all day time of prayer. It does not matter where you are or what you are doing, you can pray however you chose to. Silently as you work, Loudly as you vacuum or softly as your rock your sweet Guatemalan gift.
I come to you with a serious drive to gather as many willing hearts as I can to join together to lift up the families still waiting to bring their babies home and to also lift ALL of the children in Guatemala trapped in this mess needing so desperately to be loved, held and HOME with a family!!!!

So - lets join together
THURSDAY
from now on,
the first Thursday in May will be:
National Day of Prayer
for the
Orphans of Guatemala

My Life...

The other morning I was listening to my favorite morning talk show, they were talking about a book and a website where people write in about their life in 6 words.

I've thought about this a lot! I've written down some and then scratched away since it didn't "fit" my life. To sum up a person's life in 6 words, can it be done? Here's my try, let me know what ya think.

My Life in 6 Words!
4 children, 1 husband, 1 lord
or
4 children, 1 lord, joyously busy

Two posts in 1 day...

Of all the things I am (mother, wife, daughter, Christian, student,...I fail to mention what my dear husband calls me sometimes lol)
I am great...OK I'm a Great Aunt!
You ask how can someone who looks so young be a Great Aunt?! Ha Ha

My niece, Chelsie had a baby boy last April 19.
Dylan Scott.

Well our baby boy is turning 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo! (tomorrow)
(I say our because my niece is like my sister and we are with Dylan almost every single day, I actually have Dylan withdrawals if we don't see him)
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY DYLAN!

Dylan barely 1 day old

Had to put this one in. We call him muscle boy, Chelsie found this shirt and got it for him.

8 months old. Boy he got big!

Like mother, like son!

Crown says "Birthday Prince"

It was my sister's birthday yesterday (April 17), she is Dylan's grandma!

Tam's I won't spill your age...but your not too far from over the hill!!!!!!!! hehehehe

Happy Birthday Tammy!

It's also Chandre and Brian's birthday's tomorrow. My cousins and sister and brother. Chandre is 23 and Brian is 21. Gosh ya guys are getting old...Thank God my age doesn't change! hehe

Happy Birthday Chandre!

Happy Birthday Brian! (fuufuu)

FFF

Geez I need to get on the ball again. I love looking at pictures, not only of my children but everyone else's families too. I haven't done a favorite foto friday, so I'm doing one today.
Enjoy!

Brittany 23 months old. Her eyes melt me, still do this day!

Andrew 19 months old. He hasn't lost the big cheeks! I wish I had a close up picture of his eyelashes, they go for miles.

I have more "favorites" of Dominick but this picture is very special since it's the very first smiling picture we received of Dominick. Look at his wild hair and big cheeks! We were told this was just after he arrived at EN "about" 14-18 months old (agency isn't sure...hmmm?!!) We had already been "in process" with Dominick's case for 6 months before EN sent us additional photos of him, even though we requested them immediately after signing of POA.

Marissa 5 months old in Guatemala. Paul's cousin was teaching in Quetzaltenago (spelling?), his parents were visiting and we asked if they could stop by the orphanage and get some pics.
They sent us TONS of pictures and the only one's that every had both Dominick and Marissa in them.

The Easter Bunny came EARLY!

Wisconsin's Easter Bunny was in a mad dash to get in, out and back home to the warmth of a fireplace...fireplace ya say??!! Woke up yesterday to 4-5 inches of snow! Gotta love the weather!

We colored our eggs the other night and for the most part it was fun...stressful but fun. Marissa decided all of her eggs were balls and kept throwing them into the dishes of dye and Dominick decided it would go quicker to just use his fingers to dip the eggs. They turned out great though, now I just need to find people to eat them!

count em'...36 EGGS!

before the "launch" of an egg

Paul works tomorrow and wouldn't have been around in the morning when the Easter Bunny comes, so our bunny came early tonight, 7 pm. We were all upstairs and Paul saw the bunny running from the house, the kids made a mad dash to see if anything was left, and boy oh boy did we hear screams! Each of the kids got a chocolate bunny to eat, M&M's, Egg gum, a kite, 3 outfits, bubbles, a book, a jump rope and silly putty. What the heck was the bunny thinking SILLY PUDDY????!!

I'm so glad we are all feeling healthy, but now my brother and his family are sick, hopefully they will feel good enough to join us tomorrow.
Happy Easter!!

"I can't find any!"
Andrew there's ONLY 30 more to find!

Dominick's first egg he found! Marissa's first and ONLY egg she found, only cared about her basket.

Mommy said: "Brittany why are you in Summer PJ's?"

Brittany replies: "Mom the snow's almost gone, SEE!!"

Hopefully all the eggs were found...

Updating

Sorry about no blogging. We have been sick. Brittany started about 3 weeks ago with a stomach flu which was passed pretty much down the line, Andrew is about the only one not sick. This week Brittany is getting over influenza (not confirmed by test OMG she flips when we do a strep test!!!) and I am in the midst of it!
Like I said Andrew has really been the only one not sick...keep fingers crossed this all passes!
